City of Clemson Christmas Parade Road Closure Notice
(Please share will all who may be impacted by this closure).
Parade Date: Tuesday, December 6th
Pre-parade line up / activities begin @ 5pm. Parade will roll @ 6pm.
Road closure on College Avenue to Keith Street will occur at 4:30pm, access will be blocked between College Avenue and all side streets, including North Clemson Avenue, Sloan Street and Keith Street. Please note: all vehicles on College Avenue must be moved by 4pm or they will be towed to clear the road way.
o Additional road closures will begin at 4:45 p.m. in the following location:
- 93 northbound and southbound closed between Cherry Road and Williamson Road.
o Final road closures will begin at 5:50 p.m. in the following locations:
- College Avenue closed between Keith Street and Edgewood Ave.
- The traffic arm on Calhoun Drive, at Brackett Hall, will remain activated until after the parade to deter motorists from traveling toward barricaded areas.
o Those parked in the Sikes Hall area will be directed to exit via Parkway Drive onto Cherry Road, at the President’s Home.
o All barricades will remain in place until the conclusion of the parade around 8 p.m.
*WE ARE HOPEFUL WE WILL RUN TOMORROW BUT IF WEATHER CONDITIONS CHANGE IN THE NEXT 12 HOURS AN EMAIL WILL BE SENT @ 10AM TO CITIZENS AND PARTICIPANTS WITH A RESCHEDULE DATE OF 12/8/2022. SOCIAL MEDIA POST WILL ALSO BE MADE TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM.
