Clemson Looks at Curbing Underage Drinking

The city of Clemson is considering a pilot program to combat underage drinking, a significant issue in the college town. Clemson Police Chief Jorge Campos has proposed the use of Intellicheck, a software that verifies the authenticity of driver’s licenses. The software has been successfully used by Tiger Town Tavern for over two years. The city council is now determining how to fund the pilot program, which would be implemented in 15 establishments and cost $42,000 annually.
