Clemson Man Charged with Kidnapping, Burglary

According to arrest records from the Oconee County Detention Center, yesterday Seneca Police charged 30 year-old Jamel Deshawn Brown of Clemson with second and third degree assault and battery, first degree burglary, kidnapping and malicious injury to property.

Details surrounding his arrest have not yet been released, as police continue their investigation. At this time, Brown remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center pending judicial proceedings. Bond will be set for him by a circuit court judge, according to jail records.

43 year-old Shawn Matthew Johnson of West Union was arrested yesterday by Walhalla Police and charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon. He, too, remains in custody pending bond.
