Clemson Man wanted for Murder

An armed and dangerous suspect is wanted by the Clemson Police Department for murder, attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Saturday at the intersection of Issaqueena Trail and Cambridge Drive in Clemson, 23-year-old Jaron Lamont Gibbs shot a man in the head after an argument over money. The report states that Gibbs walked up to the driver’s side window of the victim’s car and pointed a pistol at the driver’s head. The driver then pushed Gibbs’ hand away as one shot was fired, which grazed the driver’s head and hit the passenger. The passenger was taken to AnMed Hospital and the driver was taken to Oconee Memorial Hospital. On Saturday, the passenger died from his injury.
