Clemson names Executive VP for Academic Affairs and Provost

Clemson University has a new chief academic officer. Starting September 16, Robert Jones becomes Clemson University’s first executive vice president for academic affairs and provost. His role is to provide leadership for the university’s undergraduate and graduate programs, academic support programs, research and public service activities. Jones was selected after a national search that drew roughly 400 nominations and applications. He is a Clemson University graduate who currently serves as a professor of biology and dean of West Virginia University’s Eberly College of Arts and Sciences.
