Clemson pitches past Gardner-Webb

Senior righthander Jonathan Meyer tossed seven innings to lead Clemson to a 4-1 win over Gardner-Webb at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Wednesday night.  With the win, the Tigers improve to 18-11 on the season. The Tigers scored two runs in the first inning on Garrett Boulware’s two-run homer and added a run in the fourth inning before the Bulldogs manufactured a run in the seventh inning.  Meyer earned the win in his first start of the season.  Clemson will travel to take on Boston College in a three-game series starting Friday at 2:30pm.
