Clemson Students Pay It Forward at Seneca Middle School

Recently, students at Clemson University participated in the phenomenon known as “paying it forward” at Seneca Middle School’s after-school program called WORK. The Clemson students are part of a mentoring program called Tiger Ties, which matches middle school students with graduates in the Business or Behavioral Science fields. At Seneca Middle School, mentors worked with students on developing a better understanding of values, setting goals and aligning their actions to meet those goals. Stephanie Shepherd, Director of the WORK program at Seneca Middle School said of the visit from the Clemson Tiger Ties students, “We were very honored to have the Tiger Ties students come and pass along great advice and teach skills to our students, which will surely prove valuable, not only as they continue and complete their education, but throughout their careers as well. Who knows, maybe one or more of our WORK students will choose to pay it forward also!”
