Coach Swinney reacts to suspension of Players

Clemson University Head Football Coach Dabo Swinney confirmed Wednesday morning that three players, wide receiver Deon Cain, kicker Ammon Lakip, and tight end J.J. McCullough, were sent home from the team’s Orange Bowl trip. ESPN reports that the three Clemson Tiger players failed drug tests. According to WSPA, Coach Swinney said Lakip graduated and won’t return to Clemson, McCullough can graduate from the university this summer and Cain could rejoin the team if “he grows up.” No. 1 Clemson plays No. 4 Oklahoma on Thursday, Dec. 31 at 4pm.
