Committment toSewer South Project Reaffirmed with Vote Today

During a special meeting this morning, the Oconee County Council voted 3-0 to reaffirm funds of up to $2.5 million for the wastewater expansion of Sewer South.

Chairman John Elliot, along with Council Members Don Mize and Glenn Hart, all made statements affirming their commitment to a project that is seen as creating the potential for economic development on Oconee’s four-mile stretch of the interstate. The fourth member, Julian Davis, was absent from this morning’s meeting.
