Community Speaks at Seneca Library

The Seneca Library launches a new program series entitled, “Community Speaks”, on Wednesday. This new forum on community issues features open discussions led by representatives from local organizations, explains Oconee County Public Library Branch Services Librarian Blair Hinson. “The Seneca Branch is doing what is called ‘Community Speaks’ and they are trying to get a forum set up that will be quarterly. It will be a program with people from local organizations talking about important issues in the community. The first one is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 19 and it is about domestic violence in South Carolina. Then quarterly they will do different things that are important to the community.” The first forum of Community Speaks takes place Wednesday at 5:30pm featuring a representative from Safe Harbor. This program is free and open to the public.
