Construction Update on New Walhalla High

The Walhalla High School project remains on track. Oconee County Schools Assistant Superintendent Dr. Michael Thorsland gives details. “Construction continues to progress very well at the Walhalla High School site and we are still on target for our August of 2015 opening.” Construction of the new Walhalla High School on the west side of Highway 11 is projected to be roughly $55 million. Officials say the new facility will house 1,200 students with room for growth.
