Coroner Says Man Died in Accident Due to Cardiac Event

Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said that a 68-year-old man from West Union died in the emergency department at Prisma Oconee Memorial Hospital following a motor vehicle collision in Westminster.

The collision occurred at approximately 4:35 pm Monday afternoon near the intersection of Westminster Highway and Walhalla Street, and it appears that a cardiac medical event preceded the collision.

The man’s death is classified as natural, and no autopsy is scheduled. Coroner Addis identified the man as 68-year-old Robert Talley of West Union.
