County Administrator Offers Recommendations for Upcoming Fiscal Year

During a Friday morning workshop of the Oconee County Council, Administrator Amanda Brock provided recommendations for the upcoming budget year, and revealed that the county would require $600,000 to create thirteen new jobs. Those new positions would include three new Sheriff’s Deputies and three new full time fire fighters. Brock also recommended hiring a second code enforcement officer for the county due to an increase in calls to investigate housing safety issues.
