CU helping others during National Week of Service

Clemson University Media Relations Office reports that students and alumni across the nation are coming together to help others during the sixth annual Clemson National Week of Service.  Named “Every Tiger Cares,” the week goes through April 6. Fourteen Clemson Clubs from 10 states will conduct service projects in their local communities, while students will volunteer on campus and in the local community. Clemson Sweep, a campus-wide cleanup project, will begin at 1pm on Thursday, April 4 in Heritage Park and spread across the campus. The Unity Project is an initiative established by Clemson students to unite different organizations and individuals with the surrounding community through service. The Unity Project will be held from noon to 2pm on Friday, April 5. Projects include volunteering with Helping Hands and Helping Hands thrift store, CAT Bus, Downtown Community Fellowship, Animal Rescue Fund, Littlejohn Community Center, Collins Children’s Home, Pendleton Historic Foundation, Nettles Dog Park, Downtown Clemson Beautification, among others.
