CU Student arrested for destroying Campus Property

Clemson University Police arrested a student who they said broke a sink and caused minor flooding in a campus residence hall.  19-year-old Paul O’Donnell Jr., a freshman from New Jersey, was charged with causing malicious injury to real property more than $2,000, but less than $10,000, which is a felony. He also was charged with misdemeanor public disorderly conduct. Police were called to Donaldson Hall Thursday afternoon because water leaking from a third-floor sink had damaged ceiling tiles on the first and second floors and caused the fire alarm to sound. They found that the restroom sink had been broken from the wall, causing the leak. O’Donnell was released on a $5,262.50 personal recognizance bond.
