CU Student charged with Financial Card Theft

A Clemson University student was arrested Wednesday on charges he used a Tiger One card that belonged to another student.  Campus Police report that 21-year-old Wayne Anthony Boyd Jr., a sophomore from Central, was charged with financial transaction card theft, a felony, and financial transaction card fraud valued at $500 or less in a six-month period, which is a misdemeanor. The victim discovered on September 19th that there were unauthorized transactions from her Tiger One account and reported to police that she last saw the card on September 10th at the Hendrix Student Center. Tiger One cards are pre-paid personal identification cards that students and employees can use to make purchases. Boyd was released on $2,000 bond.
