CU Student charged with Financial Card Theft

A Clemson University student was arrested Wednesday on charges he used a Tiger One card that belonged to another student.  Campus Police report that 21-year-old Wayne Anthony Boyd Jr., a sophomore from Central, was charged with financial transaction card theft, a felony, and financial transaction card fraud valued at $500 or less in a six-month period, which is a misdemeanor. The victim discovered on September 19^th that there were unauthorized transactions from her Tiger One account and reported to police that she last saw the card on September 10^th at the Hendrix Student Center. Tiger One cards are pre-paid personal identification cards that students and employees can use to make purchases. Boyd was released on $2,000 bond.
