CU’s Tigers for Tigers reaches out to Local Children

A student program at Clemson University is educating children about tiger conservation.  Tigers for Tigers is reaching out in the local community through Cubs for Cubs.  The program emphasizes the extinction and abuse that tigers face, the public’s duty to help save them and the impact of increasing awareness.   The group visited NorthsideElementary School in Seneca three times as well as a local Cub Scout pack.  At typical Cubs for Cubs meetings, Clemson students present an interactive PowerPoint presentation, an educational video from the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and a review quiz at the end. Clemson’s Cubs for Cubs members hope to expand the program by traveling to reach more children.
