Date and Time changed for Seneca versus Palmetto Football Games

As Hurricane Florence inches closer to the East Coast, the chances of inclement weather on Friday have greatly increased. Therefore, Seneca and Palmetto High Schools have decided to move the varsity football game this week to Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at 7pm, tells Seneca High School Athletic Director Coach Andy Bay. “We basically agreed, it being an away game and not a home game we didn’t have a whole lot of control over it, but Athletic Directors and schools looked at the weather and decided it was safer for the kids to move it up a day and play the varsity game on Thursday, so that pushes the JV game. So, the JV will play on Wednesday night at 7pm here at Seneca and the varsity will play at Palmetto Thursday at 7pm. We decided to move the kickoff up a little bit because it being a school night and that will get the kids home a little sooner than a normal Friday night.” Movement of the varsity game up a day will push the JV and Seneca Middle School games up to Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018. There will be a doubleheader at Coach Tom Bass Field on Wednesday. The Seneca Middle School football team will play at 6pm and the JV game with Palmetto to follow at around 7:15pm.
