DEMOCRATS DOING BUSINESS IN WALHALLA

Oconee Democrats are now doing business at 110 S. College Street, Walhalla, and they invite the public to stop in next weekend for the grand opening of their new office. That event will be 1 to 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon, February 22 and will feature, among others, representatives of Democratic Presidential candidates, as well as the new Walhalla city councilwoman, Sarai Melendez. Although the county party has re-located its headquarters from Seneca to Walhalla, it plans to stay in touch with its Seneca supporters thru monthly breakfasts starting Saturday, March 21 at the Blue Ridge Community Center (formerly the Code Academy) at 315-B Holland Avenue. According to party chairman Steve Sperry, other important dates on the calendar of Oconee Democrats are the February 29 Presidential primary, the March 16 county convention and the annual picnic May 16.
