Details released on Homicide Victim

A 32-year-old Washington State man died Thursday morning in Seneca from gunshot injuries sustained in an apparent home invasion and break in.  This incident occurred at 24 Ames Street, which is located on the Utica Mill village, near Seneca.  Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis pronounced 32-year-old Scott Andrew Johnston of Pullman, Washington dead at the scene.  Addis reports that he sustained multiple gunshot injuries to the body.  He was staying at this residence with a female acquaintance that is from WashingtonState too.  She is furthering her education at Clemson University.  An autopsy will be conducted today to assist the Oconee County Sheriff’s Department and Coroner’s Office with the death investigation. His manner of death is being investigated as a homicide.
