DHEC COVID-19 Numbers Update

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) today announced 542 new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and 11 additional deaths. This brings the total number of people confirmed to have COVID-19 in South Carolina to 14,800 and those who have died to 557. Eleven deaths occurred in elderly individuals and two occurred in middle aged persons. On Monday, three new positive cases were confirmed here in Oconee County; ten cases were confirmed in Pickens and Anderson reported two new cases.
