DHEC/SDOC COVID-19 Numbers Update

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 393 new confirmed cases and 14 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, 13 additional confirmed deaths and no new probable deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 134,884, probable cases to 3,240, confirmed deaths to 3,040, and 172 probable deaths.

Pickens County confirmed seven cases; in Oconee there were seven confirmed cases and one probable case reported; and in Anderson County 16 cases were confirmed positive, and one COVID-19 related death was reported, as well.

Currently there are at least 42 confirmed positive cases within the School District of Oconee County, the latest being an employee of Fair-Oak Elementary.
