DHEC to begin issuing Daily Ozone Forecasts

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control will start issuing regular forecasts for ground-level ozone, which is South Carolina’s most widespread air-quality concern during the warmer months. High ozone concentrations generally happen on hot sunny days when the air is stagnant. Vehicles and lawn equipment contribute to more than half of the state’s ozone levels.
