Donated Park continues Seneca’s Beautification Plan

This spring when work begins on land donated to Seneca for a new park, it marks the next step in the city’s beautification plan for the entryway into downtown. Seneca Mayor Pro-tem Ronnie O’Kelley says things are falling in place along that corridor. “It all started with the wall, which looks great down at that intersection. Then we moved on up and redid the intersection, all that is new and then the mobile home park that was there is gone now. It is all a positive; Seneca Bank is there, the Hampton Inn and Suites are there and people are talking. The dentists built a beautiful facility right up the street from it, so everything is falling in place for that end of town. We know that was our weakest corridor and it is definitely coming together, so we are excited about it.” The one acre of land donated to the city by KTC Associates is on East North First Street. A walking trail is already planned for the property with other developments scheduled in the future.
