Drug Dealer Round Up underway in Seneca

A round up of suspected drug dealers is underway in the City of Seneca. According to a release from Seneca Police Chief John Covington, over the last several months, the Seneca Police Department Narcotic’s Unit has conducted undercover operations that resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana, and prescription drugs from a group of suspects. The Narcotic’s Unit received several complaints of illegal drug transactions in the City of Seneca. Surveillance was conducted and undercover buys were made, along with intensive interviews of suspects and the results were 26 arrest warrants on 11 suspects. So far, six suspects are in custody. The Seneca Police Department is actively seeking the remaining five suspects. The round up operation began at 8:30am this morning out of the Special Operations Annex building on East Main Street in downtown Seneca.
