Drunk Driver damages Seneca Building

A drunk driver damaged an historic downtown Seneca building early Saturday morning. Around 1:30am, a pickup truck crashed into the small white building at the entrance to Norton-Thompson Park. The police believe the driver then backed up, proceeded one block and hit a parked car. For the incident, Seneca Police filed multiple charges against 27-year-old Michael Todd Reid of Seneca. The building once served as the office for the Seneca Chamber of Commerce. In recent years, the American Legion has used the building to pay tribute to local military veterans through its Wall of Honor. Seneca Police also use the building as a staging area for city events at Norton-Thompson Park.
