Duncan & Biden Both Visited SC Thursday

Congressman Jeff Duncan spoke Thursday evening in Walhalla at a limited Town Hall where around 120 people were in attendance. He explained why he voted to raise the debt ceiling…

He also explained why he missed President Trump’s rally last weekend in Pickens. Duncan said he had gone to Korea and Japan to investigate those countries energy programs. Duncan polled the crowd as to how many in the audience went and found strong support for the 45th president…

But when it comes to who the Laurens Republican will support for his party’s nominee for president next year, Duncan said he’ll keep neutral as many in the field are his friends…

Duncan also said he and his fellow Republicans are in the process of trying to build an impeachment case against Joe Biden, but first an attempt at impeachment would be tried against Homeland Security Director Alejandro Mayorkas due to illegal border crossings and drugs pouring into the country. The event in Walhalla was hosted by the Oconee County Republican Party. Duncan was in Oconee County the same day as Democratic leader Mr. Joe Biden visited West Columbia…

It was Biden’s first appearance in the Midlands since December 2021.

Governor Henry McMaster issued a statement on Biden’s visit, saying, “South Carolina is red hot, with a booming economy, a growing population, and a quality of life unmatched by any state. Our prominent role on the national political stage has seen two presidential visits to our state in the last six days. Since January 2017, we’ve announced 82,000 new jobs with $33 billion in new capital investment. Our success originates from our people, whose values, faith, patriotism, and work ethic are widely known around the globe.”
