Early Voter Turnout Increased Significantly on Wednesday

As predicted, turnout on the second day of early voting increased significantly on Wednesday, as compared to the first day, which was Tuesday of this week. Totals from the state election commission show that Oconee County had 160 registered voters cast early ballots on Wednesday, nearly twice as many as showed up the previous day.

Statewide, there were just under 7,000 eligible voters who cast early ballots on Wednesday. Primaries are June 14 and early voting is available every day except for Saturdays and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through June 10. For more information visit https://www.scvotes.gov/early-voting.
