Early Voting in SC’s GOP Primary Ends Today

Today marks the final day for early voting in the GOP Presidential primary in South Carolina. Early voting locations across the state will remain open until 6:00pm this evening, and all regular polling stations will be operational from 7:00am to 7:00pm on Saturday. In Oconee County, the Pine Street election office will be accepting in-person votes from 8:30 this morning until 6 tonight. Over 4,300 Oconee residents have already cast their votes for the GOP presidential nomination. The ballot also includes three advisory questions. Meanwhile, absentee voting is ongoing. This leads up to the official Republican presidential preference primary voting on Saturday. In Oconee, this means regular precinct voting will take place across the county. Also, it’s important to note that if you’ve already cast your vote in the Democratic presidential primary, you’re ineligible to vote in the Republican primary.
