Eight Candidates file for Seneca Municipal Election

The deadline to file for the City of Seneca’s Municipal Election has ended and eight candidates have signed up to run for the four open seats on city council, the four incumbents and four challengers.  This election marks the first time that the Oconee County Voter Registration and Elections Office will conduct the election for the city.  Oconee County Voter Registration and Elections director Joy Brooks gives the candidates that filled.  “A total of eight candidates filled for City Council in the City of Seneca and those candidates will be Andrea Alewine, Joel Arnold, Scott Durham, Robert B. Holbrooks, Stuart Pohl, Ernest M. E. Riley, Denise Rozman and Joel Ward.” Brooks says that even though the county is conducting the election, polling locations will not change.  “No there polling places will remain the same.  Seneca 1, 2, 3 and 4 will vote at Shaver and that is for voters inside the city limits of Seneca only.” The Seneca Municipal Election will be on March 11.
