Entertainment Contracts sent out for SenecaFest

The Seneca Events Committee is waiting to receive signed contracts from this year’s entertainers for SenecaFest 2014.  The Committee is hoping to bring artists John Anderson, The Bellamy Brothers and McKayla Reece to the city’s Memorial Day Festival on May 24 at Gignilliat Community Center, explains Seneca Events Coordinator Riley Johnson.  “SenecaFest is a tradition here in Seneca and of course Memorial Day weekend is so special, it is just a great weekend.  We are going to continue to do what we do in making it the best we can and last year we had a great show but this year we are going to do three times the fun.  Here is where we are, the contracts are currently out there and the contracts are in the process of being signed, haven’t closed the deals yet but the offers have been made.  So, we are waiting to hear from the groups like the Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson and McKayla Reece.  Those are the three starts we are trying to get and as soon as we get the ink dried on the contracts, we are going to put tickets on sale hopefully before Christmas, so we can get tickets out there for stocking stuffers.”  Johnson said this year’s SenecaFest would be a one-day event.  “We have officially moved it to a one-day festival on Saturday.  We will continue to do the SenecaFest Color Run that was so successful last year but we haven’t decided on that yet, it is something else we will talk about and the BBQ folks are currently working on their plan to see if they want to continue with the event, so everything is kind of getting kick started.  We are kicked off now and we should be finalizing all the acts in the next day or so.  We are excited about it, last year one act, this year three big acts at Seneca’s Gignilliat Community Center.  We look forward to getting those tickets on sale before Christmas.” Advanced tickets are $5 and may be purchased at Seneca City Hall or online.  Tickets at the gate on the day of the show are $10.  Children 8 and under are free to attend.
