The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Fair Play woman this week on charges of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and unlawful neglect of a child charges that stemmed from an incident that occurred back on April 7.  Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt gives details.  “31-year-old Sumi Marie Jenkins of 257 North Davis Drive was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center after an incident at that address. According to warrants, Jenkins is accused of chasing her husband through the residence with a butcher knife, held it to his throat threatening to kill him and then attempted to stab her husband in the back as he attempted to flee the residence.  Jenkins is also accused in warrants of choking her 13 year old daughter by placing both of her hands around her neck, holding her down and restricting her ability to breathe.  Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division filed the charges after interviews and examination of evidence.” At a bond hearing yesterday, Jenkins received a total $50,000 surety bond.  She was released after a bonding company posted her bond.
