Falling Gas Prices

Lundberg Letter analyst Trilby Lundberg says the average price of a gallon of gasoline across the nation has dropped eleven cents over the past two weeks to average $3.54.  Lundberg says diesel prices have also fallen.  “Diesel prices on the street dropped seven cents in the same two-week period, that average is now $3.98.” Lundberg says that gas prices have been falling for the last two months.  “It has been two months of declines to the tune of 26 cents per gallon drop.” This could be the end of declines, concludes Lundberg.  “Crude oil prices as they are may not cause any further price declines at the pump.  Chances are this is the end of the price decline, but if crude oil goes down more than yes we may see further declines at the pump.” According to the Lundberg Letter survey, the average price for a gallon of regular grade gasoline in South Carolina is $3.26.
