Fatal accident in Pickens County

A pickup truck driver died in a crash on Childress Road, near Old Dacusville Road in Pickens County at about 7:45 p.m. on Sunday.

The driver veered off the road, hit a culvert and a mailbox, crossed the road, and hit two trees, according to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway…

The Pickens County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Randall Davenport of Easley, and said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
