Fifteenth Arrest made in Sixteenth Operation Infinity

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announces an additional arrest in the sixteenth “Operation Infinity” drug sweep round-up that began on April 5, with law enforcement partners from the Seneca and Westminster Police Departments. In all, 32 individuals were being sought on a variety of drug charges involving methamphetamine, heroin, prescription drugs, cocaine and marijuana. Some individuals in this drug sweep are being sought on charges of unlawful neglect of a child as well as attempts to purchase pseudoephedrine above the legal limits allowed. The most recent arrest involved 27-year-old Christy Nicole Wilbanks of Fair Play, who was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on one count of distribution of methamphetamine. So far, 15 individuals have been arrested in the drug sweep round-up. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation and due to that fact, the names of the other individuals being sought will not be released at this time.
