Filming in Seneca today

Filming is underway in the City of Seneca today. Twenty residents are serving as extras in a video to be shown at this year’s Municipal Association of South Carolina annual meeting and awards banquet. “The Municipal Association has their event in July but they are here filming in Seneca for that award banquet where they give the presentation to the award winners.” Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander said at the banquet, the city is to receive an Innovation Award for its all-electric public transit service. “We are real excited about them being here. It gives us an opportunity to showcase Seneca and what we have been able to do here with the all-electric transit. The buses from Proterra, which is a South Carolina company that continues to grow, they are getting contracts from all over the United States. For Seneca to be an all-electric transit system is extremely special. We are grateful for all the hard work that has gone into that especially the partnership with Clemson Area Transit, the City of Clemson and our staff here, Greg Dietterick, Ed Halbig and all that have been involved that have worked so hard to get us where we are today.”
