Oconee County now has a Capital Project Sales Commission. A new, six-member commission is now in place to work toward a new referendum, in which the voters get to choose whether to accept paying an extra penny of sales tax to generate funds for projects considered worthwhile.  Joining Seneca’s Mollie Smith are Brenda Davis of Westminster and Thelma Miller of Walhalla.  They will represent the three municipalities. Three men have already been named by Oconee County to represent unincorporated areas: Don Fuller, Russell Price, and Glen McPheeters.
