Final Kids’ Day of 2014 at the AG

On Nov. 15, the Pendleton District Commission will sponsor “19th Century Toys, Games, and Crafts”. The event, at the Bart Garrison Agricultural Museum of South Carolina, runs from 10am to 1pm and is designed for children in grades 3-6. Students should bring a snack that they can eat on the run, such as a granola bar, and a water bottle marked with their name. Admission is $4, class size is limited and reservations are required. To make reservations, parents should call 864-207-0705. Students will play with and make several toys that were popular with children during the 19th century. Kids will also play several games popular during the same time. During this tour, children will have an opportunity to earn their Junior Historian – 19th Century Toys and Games Pin, an educational program offered by the Museum. The day will conclude with students making several holiday crafts that can be used on their family Christmas tree. The Bart Garrison Agricultural Museum of South Carolina is located at 120 History Lane in Pendleton.
