Final Suspect arrested in 2013 Stolen Goods Case

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Liberty man last week on an outstanding warrant of receiving stolen goods from a case that occurred back in October of 2013. The Sheriff’s Office reports that 20-year-old Timothy Rip Bryant was picked up by the Easley Police Department. Bryant was the last of five people arrested who were charged in the case. Leslie Finley, Rip Patrick Bryant, Brian Banks and Daman Paul Strickland were arrested back in October of last year and each charged with receiving stolen goods. A deputy responded the morning of October 16, 2013 to an address on Old Clemson Highway to reports of items missing from a residence. Witnesses reported seeing the items at a nearby residence where all five individuals were contacted. Some of items were recovered and the individuals told the deputy that they were not sure how the items came into their possession. As the investigation continued, warrants were obtained against all five persons in the case. The total amount of the items taken, according to warrants, was around $5,000.
