Forgery from Pharmacy lands Seneca Woman behind Bars

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca woman Thursday on forgery charges after an incident at a local pharmacy. A deputy was dispatched to the CVS Pharmacy on Sandifer Boulevard in Seneca regarding a prescription that looked like it might have been faked. The employee also contacted the office that was on the prescription and was told that they had not issued a prescription for the name on the pad. The deputy made contact with 38-year-old Sharon Renee Ross, the individual who dropped the prescription off who was still at the drive-thru window. After making contact with Ross, the deputy was given a false name and date of birth. The deputy was also told by Ross that she had dropped it off for a family member who lived outside of Oconee County. As the investigation continued, the deputy saw in plain view Ross’ driver’s license in the passenger front seat of the car. The deputy relayed the information on the license back to dispatch. Soon thereafter, Ross was placed under arrest for providing false information and issued a traffic ticket. Ross was also placed on a temporary custody order until a warrant could be obtained on the forgery charge. According to the warrant, Ross tried to obtain Percocet via the forged prescription. Ross also had an outstanding Magistrate’s bench warrant as well. Her total surety bond amount is $25,470. In addition, two holds were placed on Ross from other agencies.
