Former Easley Police Chief Passes Away

Tim Tollison, the former Chief of Police for Easley, passed away at the age of 52 on December 22.

A 1989 graduate of Easley High School, Tollison joined the Easley Police Department in 1993 after completing his degree at Charleston Southern University. He was appointed Chief of Police in 2015 and retired in 2020. Tollison was known for his commitment to community connection.

He established the Citizens Police Academy to educate Easley residents about the police department’s operations and foster a closer relationship between law enforcement and the community.

A memorial service for Tim Tollison will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, at Easley First Baptist Church.
