Former Local Business Owner Sentenced to Prison on Domestic Offenses

Demetrius Campbell

Demetrious Campbell, 49, a former businessman from Seneca, was sentenced to three years in prison for domestic crimes after pleading guilty to first-degree domestic violence and pointing and presenting a firearm. The incident occurred at home after a family member’s funeral, where Campbell’s wife, Crystal, suffered injuries. Mrs. Campbell was not pleased with the sentence and pleaded with the judge for a longer prison term. The sentence included 10 years in prison, suspended to three years of active imprisonment, two years of home incarceration with an ankle monitor, five years of probation, no contact with his wife and children, and mandatory mental health counseling. Mr. Campbell expressed remorse and apologized in court.
