Former Pickens High Football Coach killed in Shooting

A former Pickens High School Football Coach was killed in a double shooting Monday morning. The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office reports that Coach Bill Isaacs died in the shooting at a home on Homestead Road. The other victim is Dickey Stewart. The incident happened around 11am. Deputies arrested 64-year-old Albert Leon Bowen of Pickens on two counts of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Deputies say the incident may have stemmed form an ongoing dispute between Bowen and one of the victims. Coach Isaacs is the winningest coach in the history of Pickens High School Football with 181 wins and 9 region championships during his 27-year career.
