Fundraiser for roof repair of WCA

A fundraiser is planned to support the roof repair project of the Walhalla Civic Auditorium, a 100-year-old venue that supports live music and performing arts.  On May 3, a roof fundraising event is planned at Calyx Farms, a 120-acre sustainable farm and event center just outside of Walhalla. It is the Tamassee Craft Brew Celebration and proceeds go to the roof repair for the auditorium. Music lovers will appreciate a day of Bluegrass, Blues and Americana with CT, Angela Easterling, David Jacobs Strain and The Packway Handle Band. Craft beer lovers will enjoy over twenty different craft brews focused on southeastern breweries with a few others from beyond the region. There will also be a Homebrew competition for anyone who would like to present your own craft brew for inspection. Homebrew entries get $10 off the ticket price. Only 600 tickets are being sold for the event, so it can stay intimate while still producing a quality event to help the Auditorium. For more information, visit www.tamasseecraftbrewfestival.com.
