Georgia Fugitive Arrested in Oconee County; Westminster Woman Charged with Fraud
According to jail records, on Wednesday, Oconee County deputies arrested two individuals in separate incidents.
55-year-old Dennis Alan Barnes from Oxford, Georgia was taken into custody on charges of possession of methamphetamine, with a bond set at $50,000, and for being a fugitive from justice, for which bond was denied. Barnes is also being held at the Oconee County Detention Center for the Walton County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia.
Meanwhile, 36-year-old Scarlet Ann Jones of Westminster was arrested and served five general sessions bench warrants and one magistrates bench warrant. In addition, she was charged with financial identity fraud, forgery, and possession of methamphetamine. Jones’ bond was set at $70,000 and she remains in custody at this time.
