GHS Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation makes Check Presentation

The seventh annual Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation Golf Classic held last fall was a tremendous success, raising funds for Mountain Lakes Access Health Dental Clinic, Safe Kids Upstate, Lifeline Services and equipment needs at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Beneficiaries received checks for $25,500 each at the foundation’s golf committee meeting, which was held last week. The committee also announced its plans for the 2015 tournament, including the popular golf ball drop and evening reception. “These programs have all had a profound impact on our citizens particularly our youngest and most vulnerable,” said Dr. Teddy Martin, chairman of the Greenville Health System Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation. “We are so pleased to support the health and well-being of our local community.” The tournament has raised more than $450,000 since its debut in 2008. The eighth annual Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation Golf Classic will be held on Oct. 1, with a shotgun start at Cross Creek Plantation and Keowee Key Golf Course.
