Grace’s Closet One Of Twelve Upstate Charities To Receive Proceeds From This Year’s Blue Ridge Fest

(Seneca, SC)————————–Blue Ridge Fest is set to begin later on this afternoon in Pickens with a classic car show and great entertainment featuring, among others, The Tams and the Oak Ridge Boys.

One of the main parts of Blue Ridge Fest is the donation of proceeds from the event to benefit local charitable organizations, and one of those organizations that will receive proceeds from this year’s Blue Ridge Fest is Grace’s Closet, which has locations set up in 19 schools in Oconee County where students in need can pick up clothing, hygiene and school supply items if they need them.

Julie-ann Shannon, executive director of Grace’s Closet, was a guest on the Coffee Time program yesterday and she expressed her excitement over Grace’s Closet being one of 12 Upstate charities to receive proceeds from Blue Ridge Fest.

Over 70 applications were received to determine the charities that would receive proceeds from this year’s event. Besides Grace’s Closet, the other charitable organizations that will receive proceeds from this year’s event is A Child’s Haven, Anderson Free Clinic, Anderson Interfaith Ministries, the Cancer Association of Pickens County, The Dream Center of Pickens County, Feed a Hungry Child, Fostering Faithfully, Golden Corner Food Pantry, The Lachlan McIntosh Tannery Foundation, North Greenville Crisis Ministry and Pickens County Meals on Wheels.
