Graham announces support from Statewide Farmers Coalition

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham’s re-election campaign continued building grassroots momentum today by announcing a statewide Farmers for Graham coalition.  The Farmers coalition includes leaders from the agriculture industry across South Carolina, which is one of the top economic engines in the state. Agribusiness is one of the largest industries in the state, with an economic impact of $33.9 billion a year.  It provides $7.5 billion in labor income and supports nearly 200,000 jobs.   “It’s humbling to me to know that the leaders in the agriculture community across South Carolina are helping to move our campaign forward,” said Graham.  “It’s great to have supporters who get up early, work hard, have strong conservative values, and feed our families.  This is an important piece of our aggressive grassroots campaign designed to gain momentum each and every day until June 10 when the voters go to the polls in the Republican Primary.” The Farmers for Graham coalition is an integral part of the grassroots infrastructure of Team Graham. “Senator Graham must be re-elected because he fights every day for reasonable solutions to America’s toughest problems,” said Charles Wingard, chairman of Farmers for Graham.  “I’m proud to support his campaign and look forward to continuing to work on Team Graham over the coming weeks.” Last week, Graham announced a massive grassroots army, including an unprecedented 5,221 Precinct Captains and 176 County Chairmen from all 46 counties in South Carolina.  In addition, the campaign announced a Young Professionals for Graham coalition and 14 Students for Graham chapters at the state’s colleges and universities.
