Greenville Man receives 123 Months in Child Porn Case

Acting United States Attorney Beth Drake states that 29-year-old Kenneth Allen McCall of Greenville was sentenced in federal court in Anderson for possession of child pornography. United States District Judge Timothy M. Cain, of Anderson, imposed sentence of 123 months’ imprisonment and ordered McCall to be placed on lifetime supervision. Evidence presented at the change of plea hearing established that in 2015, McCall was under supervision of the U.S. Probation Office for failure to register as a sex offender resulting from a previous child pornography conviction that McCall received while in the military. On Dec. 11, 2015, a U.S. Probation Officer, while monitoring McCall, discovered child pornography on McCall’s cell phone. The phone was submitted to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division for a forensic examination. The examiner located 40 videos and 100 still images of child pornography on the phone. The case was investigated by agents of the U.S. Probation Office and the State Law Enforcement Division. Assistant United States Attorney Bill Watkins of the Greenville office handled the case.
