Harper’s Plaza Taking Shape in Seneca’s Historic Downtown District

A playground is being installed at Harper’s Plaza in Seneca, with the playset visible from East North 1st Street. The three buildings at the plaza are nearly finished, and the playground should be open soon after completion.

The first of the three properties on the former site of Harper’s Five and Dime has been officially purchased by a local couple. City Administrator Scott Moulder confirmed that Greg and Sandy Levi, residents of the area for approximately 3 1/2 years, have completed the paperwork that officially recognizes them as the owners of “Building B” in what is now known as Harper’s Plaza, located in downtown Seneca. Their plan is to establish a clothing boutique in the building…

Meanwhile, the Kimbrell’s property is being demolished to make way for the Seneca Center for the Arts. This two-year reconstruction process is still in the design phase. City administrator Scott Moulder is pleased with the progress and notes that another project, the amphitheater, is also advancing.
